Note for EAN·UCC Company Prefix Application

EAN·UCC 編碼系統(tǒng)廣為全球129個(gè)國家及經(jīng)濟(jì)體系超過九十萬家企業(yè)採用。美國統(tǒng)一代碼委員會(huì)(UCC)已定立明確目標(biāo)，於2005年1月前，所有其會(huì)員可同時(shí)接納 13數(shù)位的EAN/UCC-13編碼和UPC編碼。屆時(shí)所有北美洲/加拿大的零售商將可於銷售點(diǎn)掃瞄EAN·UCC編碼，讀取所需資料。倘 貴公司於美國/加拿大的客戶現(xiàn)階段未能採用13數(shù)位的EAN/UCC-13編碼， 貴公司可向本會(huì)申請UCC編碼。

EAN·UCC Numbering System is adopted by nearly 900,000 corporates across 129 countries/economies. The UCC has established a sunrise date for its members to accept the 13-digit EAN/UCC-13 as well as the UPC at the point-of-sale no later than January 2005. All retailers in North America or Canada would be required to be able to scan and store EAN·UCC number. If your US/Canada customers affirm that they cannot accommodate the 13-digit data structure of EAN/UCC-13 at the moment, your company can apply a UCC Company Prefix from the HKANA.

The EAN/UCC Company Prefixes are issued on sequential basis, however, a company can choose its own specific Lucky Number for an additional one-time payment. The HKANA will assign a Lucky Number as the EAN/UCC Company Prefix of a member according to the price listed below:
